Sport that becomes community
Morosoccer is one of the most beloved summer events in Morosolo, a hamlet of the municipality of Casciago in the Province of Varese. Born from the energy of the Associazione Bidone — active since 2001 — it is much more than a football tournament: it is a village festival that mixes sport, music, good food, and solidarity, animating the Oratory of Morosolo in Piazza Giovanni XXIII for an entire weekend.
Tournaments
The core of the event is the 7-a-side football tournament, which sees eight teams compete between Friday and Saturday, with the finals scheduled for Saturday evening. Alongside football, there are other disciplines open to everyone, with on-site registration: the petanque tournament and 3x3 basketball on Saturday afternoon, and on Sunday morning the youth football tournament dedicated to the younger ones.
Music, quizzes, and barbecues
The evenings are the highlight: live music, DJ sets, karaoke, and the unmissable 'Il Cervellone' quiz show, which has become a tradition. The food is one of the strong points, with a large gastronomic stand active throughout the festival: sausages, fries, cheese, corn, and beer, in addition to themed evenings with roast pork, ribs, pulled pork, and smash burgers.
A festival with a charitable heart
What sets Morosoccer apart is its charitable soul: part of the proceeds from the event are donated each year to a solidarity project. Among the beneficiaries is the initiative La Casa del Giocattolo Solidale, confirming how in Morosolo, sport and fun can be transformed into a concrete gesture for the community.
Morosoccer — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Morosoccer takes place from Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14 at the Morosolo Oratory in Casciago. The program combines sports tournaments — 7-a-side football, petanque, 3x3 basketball, and youth football — with entertainment evenings featuring live music, DJ sets, karaoke, and the 'Il Cervellone' quiz. The gastronomic stand is open throughout the event, and part of the proceeds supports a solidarity project.
