Porchetta takes centre stage in Comerio
When summer arrives in Comerio, a small municipality in the province of Varese nestled in the hills of Lake Varese, it's time for the Sagra della Porchetta. Organized by the Pro Loco of Comerio at the municipal festival grounds, the sagra (traditional festival) focuses on one of the most beloved dishes of tradition: porchetta, served on a plate, in a sandwich, and in piadina.
Not just porchetta
The menu is rich and goes beyond the main dish: first courses like lasagne and pici, risottos, pulled pork, Greek salad, and desserts like crostata. The service is designed for all needs, with dinners on Friday and Saturday evenings and, on Sundays, both lunch and dinner.
Live music every evening
What makes the sagra a true celebration is the live music, scheduled every evening. Between courses, the Comerio festival grounds come alive with concerts and entertainment, in a convivial atmosphere that draws families and groups of friends from all over the Varesotto region. Sagra della Porchetta — edition 2026
From July 24 to 26, 2026, Comerio hosts the Sagra della Porchetta at the municipal festival grounds. The Pro Loco offers porchetta in all its forms — on a plate, in a sandwich, and in piadina — alongside first courses, risottos, pulled pork, Greek salad, and desserts. Live music every evening. Service includes dinners on Friday and Saturday and, on Sunday, both lunch and dinner.
