Handmade pasta in the narrow streets of Oppido Lucano
The Sagra della Pasta Fresca a Mano e dei Prodotti Tipici is one of the most beloved gastronomic events in Oppido Lucano, a town in the Province of Potenza in the Alto Bradano area. Founded in 2001, every summer it transforms the characteristic narrow streets of the historic center into a grand culinary journey dedicated to fresh pasta made by hand according to Lucanian tradition.
The absolute star is handmade pasta, served with sauces that tell the story of peasant cuisine: classic tomato sauce, seasonal legumes, and vegetables. Accompanying it are Vulture's Aglianico wine, local cheeses, and cured meats, in a journey that celebrates the typical products of the region. The festival is an opportunity to taste the authenticity of Lucanian cuisine in a popular festive atmosphere.
Alongside the food stalls, the event offers music, shows, and cultural events that liven up the evenings. In recent editions, the festival has also featured special guests and patrons, a sign of the growing popularity of an event that attracts visitors from all over the region and helps promote Oppido Lucano and its traditions.
