Experiencing the vineyard in every season

Vigneti Aperti is the major wine tourism project promoted by the Movimento Turismo del Vino (Wine Tourism Movement). From March to October, member wineries across Italy open their vineyards and cellars to offer enthusiasts an authentic wine experience among the vines, far from the usual trade fair tasting counters.

The Basilicata of wine

In Basilicata, numerous associated wineries participate, many concentrated in the Vulture area, the home of Aglianico del Vulture, but also in other wine-growing regions of the area. These are companies immersed in beautiful landscapes, some housed in buildings of historical and cultural interest, others surrounded by spectacular vineyards at the foot of the extinct volcano, Mount Vulture.

Experiences among the vines

The 2026 theme, "Well-being in the vineyard, sport, and sustainability," guides a calendar of experiences designed for enthusiasts, families, tourists, and sports lovers: walks among the vines, bicycle or horseback excursions, outdoor educational workshops, and tasting moments. It's a way to discover the Lucanian territory immersed in nature and the slow rhythm of the wine seasons.

Coordinated nationally by the Movimento Turismo del Vino, the initiative enhances the deep connection between wine, landscape, and communities in Basilicata, one of the most evocative southern regions for those seeking experiential and sustainable wine tourism.
