When the woods of the Lucanian Dolomites turn red and gold, the village of Pietrapertosa celebrates Sapori d'Autunno, one of the most beloved food and wine events in the hinterland of the Province of Potenza. For a few days, between late October and early November, the alleys and squares of the village fill with stalls, scents, and music.
Flavours of the Territory
The absolute protagonists are the typical autumn products of Basilicata: chestnuts, mushrooms, cheeses, cured meats, and traditional sweets. During the main days, live demonstrations of handmade pasta making, the "V'scuott r zit" (the traditional biscuit), and mozzarella production take place, along with wood carving and ancient soap-making techniques: a journey into Lucanian peasant and artisan culture.
Music, Shows, and Nature
Sapori d'Autunno is not just about gastronomy: the program alternates live concerts, fire shows, street artist performances, and evening DJ sets. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are trekking excursions to discover the trails of the Lucanian Dolomites, in one of the most spectacular natural settings in Southern Italy.

For 2026, Sapori d'Autunno returns to Pietrapertosa between late October and early November, during the traditional period around the All Saints' Day holiday. The event, one of the most anticipated in the Lucanian Dolomites, confirms its formula that combines food and wine, music, and nature.
The precise dates for the 2026 edition will be announced by the Municipality of Pietrapertosa in the weeks preceding the event. Based on recent editions, the festival typically spans three days with food stalls, evening concerts, fire shows, guided treks, and demonstrations of ancient crafts.

Festival Structure
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be announced in the coming weeks. Based on previous editions, the festival is structured as follows:
- Opening Evening (Prologue) — Opening of food stalls, street artist performance, and evening concert.
- Main Day — Morning trek on the trails of the Lucanian Dolomites, craft demonstrations (handmade pasta, "V'scuott r zit" biscuit, mozzarella, wood carving, soap making), fire show, and evening concert.
- Closing Day — Trekking, food stalls, and evening DJ set with music from the '90s to today.

How to get there
Pietrapertosa can be reached by car from Potenza via the SS407 Basentana, exit Campomaggiore-Albano. It is advisable to park in the areas outside the historic centre, which is mostly pedestrianized.
