A rediscovered recipe
The Festa del Tortello di Terzorio celebrates an iconic dish of the small village of Terzorio, in the province of Imperia: the tortello di Terzorio, a traditional recipe once almost completely disappeared and now rediscovered and valued by the community.
The traditional filling
The tortello is distinguished by its flavorful filling, made of chard, trombetta courgette, marjoram and onion, combined with rice, milk and local oil. A combination that tells the story of the Riviera's peasant cuisine and the shared memory of Terzorio's inhabitants. The municipal administration has initiated the process for the recognition of De.Co. (Denominazione Comunale - Municipal Designation), to protect this gastronomic heritage.
The festival in the village
During the festival evening, you can witness a live demonstration of the tortelli preparation, while the stands offer bar and catering services. An intimate and authentic event, perfect for discovering one of the smallest municipalities in the Imperia hinterland and its most genuine flavors.
Festa del Tortello — edition 2026
For 2026, the festival is expected on a Saturday in July, continuing the tradition of previous editions. The precise date will be communicated by the organizers closer to the event.
The star, as always, will be the tortello di Terzorio, with a live demonstration of its preparation (around 7:00 PM) and bar and catering services. An opportunity to taste the village's traditional recipe, while awaiting the De.Co. recognition.

How to get there
Terzorio is reached by car from the hinterland of Riva Ligure and Santo Stefano al Mare. On the highway, exit A10 Arma di Taggia-Sanremo Est, then head towards the hinterland.
Admission
Free admission; paid consumption at the stands. Demonstration of tortelli preparation in the evening (around 7:00 PM).
