In Ortovero, a municipality in the Province of Savona in the fertile Albenga plain, the Sagra delle Pesche e del Vino Pigato is one of the longest-running food and wine festivals in western Liguria, now in its 56th edition. It celebrates two local products: sun-ripened peaches and Pigato DOC, a fragrant and mineral white wine that is a flagship of Ligurian coastal viticulture.
Peaches in all their forms
The absolute protagonists are the local peaches, offered in every variation: fresh, in fruit salads, in tarts, in jams, and even in savory dishes. Accompanying them are guided tastings of Pigato, which allow you to discover the nuances of this wine and its connection to the territory.
Three days immersed in greenery
The festival, organized by the Pro Loco Ortovero, features producers' stands, live music, and craft markets, in a relaxed summer atmosphere focused on "territory, quality, and encounters." Recognized as one of the Authentic Ligurian Events, it's the ideal opportunity to discover the Savona hinterland and its genuine flavors, far from the crowded beaches.
Sagra delle Pesche di Ortovero — edition 2026
The 2026 edition, the 56th, is confirmed in Ortovero in the first days of August, among the Authentic Ligurian Events. The Pro Loco Ortovero is re-proposing three days dedicated to local peaches — fresh, in fruit salads, in tarts, jams, and savory dishes — and to guided tastings of Pigato DOC, accompanied by producers' stands, live music, and craft markets.
The precise dates will be confirmed by the Pro Loco closer to the event (the appointment traditionally falls on the first weekend of August).
