South American street food and Caribbean rhythms on Corso Umberto I
For three days, the main street of Bagheria, in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, is dressed in the colors and flavors of South America. Sabor Latino is a traveling festival dedicated to Latin American street food and culture. This modern, immersive format has already visited several Sicilian cities and now arrives on Corso Umberto I, the town's main commercial and pedestrian thoroughfare. The initiative aims to celebrate Latin American cultural roots and culinary traditions, creating a space for community gathering and celebration.
The heart of the event lies in the food stalls, where specialized vendors serve dishes prepared on the spot according to traditional recipes. Visitors can sample original specialties and cocktails from various countries: Brazil, Argentina, Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico, Spain, and the Dominican Republic.
The experience is completed by a selection of cocktails and traditional beverages available throughout the event.
The days are filled with a rich musical entertainment program: live music, themed DJ sets, and dance performances transform Corso Umberto I into an open-air dance floor, pulsing with Caribbean rhythms and festive energy. It is a 360-degree sensory journey designed for families, young people, and tourists alike.
Sabor Latino offers free admission and is open to everyone. During the event, local businesses along the street remain open, further enlivening the center of Bagheria. The festival's traveling format brings an authentic taste of Latin American culture—blending flavor, music, and social life—to this Sicilian town.
