RunThrough Trails Pila-Aosta is the trail running event held in Pila, the well-known mountain resort at an altitude of 1,800 meters, a hamlet of the municipality of Gressan, above the city of Aosta. Organized by RunThrough Trails, a company that offers running races in Europe, the event attracts Italian and international runners in one of the most spectacular landscapes of the Aosta Valley.

Courses for Every Level

The races take place on loop courses starting and finishing in Pila, with distances designed for athletes of different ambitions:

• 50 km — approximately 3,510 meters of positive elevation gain, the most challenging test
• 21 km — approximately 1,384 meters of elevation gain, for those seeking a technical half-distance
• Up & Down Race — approximately 14.5 km and 941 meters of elevation gain, more accessible and suitable for those new to trail running

The charm of this race lies in its scenery: the trails wind at high altitudes with views of Europe's highest peaks — Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, and the Matterhorn. An experience that combines the effort of mountain running with the beauty of the Aosta Valley alpine environment, reachable from Aosta also by cable car.
