Craft beer, street food, and live music in the municipal park of Valle Caudina
Every summer, the town of Rotondi, in the province of Avellino, transforms for a few nights into one of the most popular meeting spots in the Valle Caudina. The Rotondi Beer Festival is a popular event launched in 2022 that combines craft beer, street food, live music, and entertainment in a simple, well-tested format that has captured the hearts of the local community and beyond.
It is not a specialized trade show for connoisseurs, but a genuine, contemporary village festival: you walk from the town center, sit at outdoor tables, enjoy a beer, grab a bite at the stalls, and stay to listen to music until late. This mix of informality and quality has fueled the event's growth edition after edition.
After the first editions were hosted in the municipal amphitheater, the event found its natural home in the municipal park of Rotondi, a green space in the heart of the town that fills with stalls, tables, lights, and a stage for three nights. This choice is no coincidence: the municipal administration, which sponsors the event, has repeatedly highlighted the value of the park as a place for social interaction and daily life for the Rotondi community.
The main theme is, of course, beer, served on tap with selections dedicated to craft production. Alongside the taps are street food stations, ranging from meat sandwiches to classic street dining typical of festivals in Campania, with options designed to pair perfectly with different types of beer.
Every night features its own concert. The Beer Festival lineup focuses on bands that get the crowd moving: folk music, rock, pop, and cover bands, with DJ sets that keep the party going late into the night. During the 2024 edition, the third, the municipal amphitheater stage hosted Taranta 3 Live, Jovine, and Le One, with shows starting in the early evening.
In subsequent editions, the musical format has been enriched with roaming music among the stalls, DJ sets, and live artists, accompanying the entire evening rather than just the main concert.
The Beer Festival is not just for young people. The format includes attractions and entertainment for children, making the event suitable for local families—a point emphasized by the organizers themselves, who describe the festival as an opportunity to "come together, have fun, and promote our local area."
Rotondi is one of the towns in the Valle Caudina, an area in the province of Avellino where summer village festivals have always marked the social calendar. The Beer Festival has joined this tradition, bringing a younger language—that of beer and street food festivals—without sacrificing the community spirit and the vital role of volunteers.
The result is an event that, while remaining small-scale, attracts significant crowds every year from across the Valle Caudina and neighboring towns in Campania, helping to put Rotondi on the map far beyond its borders.
From June 26 to 28, 2026, the municipal park of Rotondi hosted a new edition of the Beer Festival, the summer event that for several years has brought together beer enthusiasts, families, and curious visitors from across the Valle Caudina in the center of the Irpinian town.
The event received the patronage of the Municipality of Rotondi, led by Mayor Sergio Finelli: in presenting the event, the administration highlighted the role of the municipal park as a social space returned to city life, capable of hosting major events without losing its character as a neighborhood gathering place.
The program announced by the organizers featured the well-tested festival format: live music, shows, quality street food, draft beer, and children's attractions spread across the three evenings. Food stalls and beer taps occupied the park's pathways, while the stage hosted evening performances.
As in previous editions, entry to the festival area did not require a ticket: you only pay for what you consume. It is this accessibility, combined with the presence of areas dedicated to children, that has made the Beer Festival an intergenerational event, frequented by both the youth of the valley and local families.
The Rotondi Beer Festival is held in the municipal park of Rotondi (ZIP code 83017), in the province of Avellino, in the town center. The first editions were held in the municipal amphitheater.
Rotondi can be reached by car via the Valle Caudina road network; the town is connected to other municipalities in the valley and the Naples and Sannio areas. As this is an event in the town center, it is advisable to arrive early and leave your car in the town's parking areas, then proceed on foot to the municipal park.
The event takes place in the evening, with stalls opening in the late afternoon and concerts starting in the early evening. In previous editions, entry to the festival area has always been free: you only pay for what you consume at the beer and street food stalls.
