Rosso tra le Torri: Engines and Passion in the Heart of Abruzzo

Rosso tra le Torri is the summer event dedicated to the world of motors that brings Mosciano Sant'Angelo, a town in the province of Teramo, Abruzzo, to life every July. Established in 2020 by the Moto Club Rosso Italiano (formerly Rosso D.u.c.a.t.i.)—a motorcycle tourism group founded in 2017 and active across Abruzzo and Central Italy—the event has grown with each edition to become a selective national motorcycle rally recognized by the Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI).

A Rally for Two and Four Wheels

What makes Rosso tra le Torri unique is the harmony between motorcycles and automobiles. In the squares of the historic center, particularly Piazza Aurelio Saliceti, over a hundred vehicles gather, including vintage Vespas, historic Italian motorcycles, the latest models, Ducatis, Harley Davidsons, and collectible sports cars, including Ferraris. It is a true open-air motorshow that attracts enthusiasts and collectors from across the region and beyond.

The Typical Program

The rally's format, refined over past editions, kicks off with registration in the square, valid for the FMI tourist trophy, followed by a scenic tour that leads participants to discover the hills and villages of the Teramo area, with food and wine stops at local agriturismos and farms. The afternoon is dedicated to vehicle displays and awards, while the evening gives way to food stalls, food trucks, and live music, creating a festive atmosphere that involves the entire community.

An Event for the Region

Beyond its sporting and automotive dimensions, Rosso tra le Torri serves as a tourism promotion opportunity for Mosciano Sant'Angelo and the Teramo hinterland, nestled between the Adriatic coast and the peaks of the Gran Sasso. Supported by the local municipality and associations, the initiative showcases the landscape and gastronomic heritage of Abruzzo, offering visitors and motorcyclists a weekend defined by shared passion.
