The Rome Regional Motorcycle Rally is the spring event that the Moto Club Moto Guzzi Roma ASD dedicates to two-wheel enthusiasts. The event takes place at the Rome Tourist Port, on Via dell'Idroscalo, in the heart of the Ostia coastline, within the Capital's Municipality X. Every year, the plaza overlooking the beach fills with over three hundred motorcycles of every era and make, turning the docks into a great open-air festival amidst the roar of engines, polished chrome, and the scent of the sea air.

An Italian Motorcycle Federation event

The rally is included in the official calendar of the Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI) and is valid for the Lazio Mototourism Trophy, one of the most followed accolades by motorcycle clubs in the region. Participation is open to motorcycles of all makes and ages, with no FMI membership required: a detail that makes it a cross-generational gathering point, bringing together historic Guzzi enthusiasts, vintage model collectors, and curious visitors from all over Lazio.

The coastal motorcycle tour

The heart of the day is the touring ride that winds along the Ostia seafront. The caravan travels along the coast, skirts the Castel Fusano pine forest, and reaches the evocative archaeological area of Ostia Antica before returning to the Tourist Port. The parade moves in total safety, coordinated by the State Police with motorcycle escorts guiding the procession along the scenic route overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Exhibitions, test rides, and entertainment

In addition to the ride, the port area hosts a rich program of side activities:

• historic motorcycle displays, featuring rare pieces that have included models like the 1934 Moto Guzzi GTW;
• test rides of the latest models, including the newest Moto Guzzi productions from the Piaggio Group;
• stands from exhibitors, dealerships, and motorcycle associations;
• live musical entertainment accompanying the day;
• free mini-moto trials for children aged 6 to 14, supervised by qualified instructors.

A day for the whole family

Thanks to safe-riding initiatives and activities designed for younger participants, the Rome Motorcycle Rally is not just an event for expert bikers but a true community festival. Families can stroll among the displayed bikes, children can safely approach the world of two wheels, and everyone can take advantage of the numerous affiliated dining spots at the Tourist Port for a break by the sea. The event is also an opportunity to rediscover this corner of Rome, between the seaside vitality of Ostia and the ancient history of the Ostia Antica excavations.
