A new pop culture event in the heart of Cinecittà World
Roma Comics @ Cinecittà World is a festival dedicated to pop, nerd, and geek culture held within the grounds of Cinecittà World, the cinema-themed amusement park located in Castel Romano, in the municipality of Rome, Lazio. The inaugural edition, scheduled for June 13–14, 2026, transformed the park into a vast village of imagination, where comics, animation, video games, music, and live entertainment coexist with the park's Hollywood-style film sets. The event is distinct from the historic Romics held at the Fiera di Roma and serves as a fresh, independent offering for the capital's audience.
What to expect at Roma Comics
The event brings together over 200 thematic stands covering comics, gaming, collectibles, crafts, and nerd culture, alongside a bustling artist alley. The program features a mix of panels, interviews, musical showcases, and pure entertainment, with a special focus on the K-pop phenomenon and the cosplay scene.
- Cosplay: competitions, parades, the Cosplay Movie Show, and showcases dedicated to the best costumes.
- K-pop: musical showcases, panels on the "K-wave," and a grand finale concert.
- Comics and animation: meet-and-greets with authors, voice actors, and illustrators, plus tattoo and comic art workshops.
- Wrestling, nerd quizzes, and shows: from the 80s Nerd Quiz to the Magicopop Show and live cover concerts of famous cartoon theme songs.
Guests of the first edition
The artistic direction is led by Gianluca Falletta. The inaugural edition features prominent figures from Italian pop culture, including fantasy author Licia Troisi, voice actors Perla Liberatori and Gabriele Lopez, as well as directors, Korean culture experts, cosplayers, body painters, and photographers. A diverse lineup designed for families, enthusiasts, and curious visitors of all ages.
The park's atmosphere
The unique value of Roma Comics lies in its setting: the event ticket also grants access to Cinecittà World's attractions, including roller coasters, shows, and film sets. The evenings conclude with the Stelle di Fuoco pyrotechnic display, the park's famous show synchronized to iconic cinema soundtracks. This formula, which combines a pop fair with an amusement park, is a rarity in the Lazio region and has met with great success in its debut year.

Roma Comics 2026: the first edition
The inaugural edition brought Cinecittà World to life with two days full of events, from 11:30 AM until evening, featuring an artist area, over 200 stands, and a packed program of shows and meetings.

By car: Take the Castel Romano exit from the Via Pontina (SS148), just minutes from the Grande Raccordo Anulare; the park offers ample parking. By public transport: Shuttle services and bus connections are available from Rome to Cinecittà World and the Castel Romano Designer Outlet.

The event is open all day during both days. The ticket includes access to the fair and the park's attractions; prices are approximately 20–25 euros depending on promotions, with Park + Hotel packages available.
