The fair that tells the story of Renon

The Rittner Musterschau – Renon Trade Fair is much more than a simple commercial exhibition: it is the grand moment when the entire Renon (Ritten) plateau, in the province of Bolzano/Bozen, takes center stage. Artisans, merchants, farmers, industrial companies, restaurateurs, and local associations gather in one place to present their products, crafts, and ideas to residents and visitors alike. It is a trade fair in the most authentic sense of the term, where the common thread is the local area and its productive spirit.

A periodic, not annual, event

Unlike the village festivals and fairs that return every summer, the Rittner Musterschau is a rare and deeply felt appointment. Its editions have been held at intervals of several years: 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2012, 2017, and then, after a long eight-year break, the eighth edition in 2025. Each return of the fair is experienced as a significant identity-building event for the plateau's community, serving as an occasion to meet and take stock of the local economy.

The Ritten Arena in Collalbo

Since 2025, the event has taken place at the Ritten Arena in Collalbo/Klobenstein, the modern ice rink and sports center of the Renon municipality, which replaced the historic venue at the Collalbo middle school. The arena's indoor and outdoor spaces host the exhibitors' stands, while the gastronomic area and entertainment moments bring the days to life. The plateau's location, reachable from Bolzano via the famous Renon cable car and the narrow-gauge railway, makes the fair easily accessible to city visitors as well.

More than a commercial showcase

As the president of the organizing committee emphasized, the goal is not just to show numbers and products, but above all to foster direct exchange between people. The fair is marked by thematic days dedicated in turn to female entrepreneurship, the world of work, rescue and civil protection organizations, and family entertainment, with conferences, demonstrations, and side activities. Admission is free, making the Rittner Musterschau an event open to everyone, from industry professionals to families looking for a day in the open air.
