A neighborhood festival in the heart of the Florentine Chianti

The Rione Sant'Antonio Beer Festival is one of the most cherished summer traditions in Impruneta, a town in the Metropolitan City of Florence famous for its terracotta kilns and the historic Grape Festival (Festa dell'Uva). It is organized by the volunteers of Sant'Antonio, the "white district," one of the four local neighborhoods that compete annually in the grand parade of allegorical floats during the Grape Festival: the proceeds from this beer festival help fund the construction of the float and the performance the district presents in Piazza Buondelmonti.

Eight days of pure beer enjoyment

The formula is a proven classic: two consecutive weekends of festivities, totaling eight evenings, held in the lush Parco del Rione Sant'Antonio. The undisputed star is the craft beer from Birrificio Comedia, a Tuscan excellence, which for the occasion also offers "Lottomarzo," a delicate rosé blanche flavored with hibiscus, bitter orange peel, licorice, and coriander: a portion of the proceeds from its sales is donated to the Giulia Cecchettin Foundation, which works to promote respect and consent.

The neighborhood kitchen

Alongside the beer, the volunteers' kitchen serves up traditional Tuscan flavors with a few delightful twists: appetizers, pasta dishes, sides, grilled meats, and main courses, including the famous lampredotto prepared in various ways, sandwiches, and the unmissable "kebab dell'Antonio," now a cult favorite of the festival. All served at affordable prices, outdoors, in a friendly, small-town atmosphere.

Every night features a different highlight: concerts by local bands, DJ sets, karaoke nights, tribute acts, and moments dedicated to children with games and entertainment in the afternoon.
