About Ricami Divini

Ricami Divini is the International Embroidery Exhibition that transforms the village of Rosignano Monferrato, in the heart of the UNESCO Monferrato region, into a capital of fine needlework every spring. Across the Saloni Morano, the Teatro Ideal, and the historic streets, embroiderers and artisans from all over Italy and Europe showcase high-quality works, while the event weaves together textile art, traditions, and local flavors in an immersive experience open to all.

Ricami Divini: fine embroidery in the heart of Monferrato

Every spring, the village of Rosignano Monferrato, in the province of Alessandria, becomes the embroidery capital of the Monferrato region with Ricami Divini, an International Embroidery Exhibition that attracts enthusiasts, needleworkers, and curious visitors from across Italy and abroad. Set against the backdrop of the Monferrato vineyards—a UNESCO World Heritage site and a recipient of the Touring Club's Orange Flag—the event blends textile art, culture, traditions, and gastronomy along a route winding through the streets and palaces of the historic center.

A high-quality international exhibition

The heart of the event is the fine embroidery exhibition, which brings together around twenty exhibitors, including clubs, associations, and renowned individual embroiderers from Piedmont, Italy, and various European countries such as France and Switzerland. The works on display range from cross-stitch to the most refined textile art techniques, offering visitors a truly broad panorama of contemporary creativity applied to needle and thread. Exhibition spaces are distributed between the Saloni Morano, the historic Teatro Ideal, and the rooms of Casa Cassano, right in the center of the village.

The Embroidered Village: textile art becomes permanent

The event is more than just a temporary exhibition: in recent years, Rosignano Monferrato has launched the Il Borgo Ricamato (The Embroidered Village) project, a permanent trail of contemporary textile works scattered throughout the historic center, starting with the first "embroidered doors" created by fiber artists. It is a way to uniquely and lastingly enhance the village's stone architecture and picturesque corners, transforming the town itself into an open-air work of art.

Art, flavors, and territory

Alongside the embroidery, Ricami Divini offers a rich program of side events that celebrate the bond between the knowledge and flavors of Monferrato: extra virgin olive oil tastings, culinary workshops, craft markets, music, and entertainment in the historic center. Extraordinary openings of the infernot—the characteristic cellars carved into the "pietra da cantoni" stone that are part of the UNESCO designation—are often scheduled, as well as the opportunity to discover the sites associated with the Divisionist painter Angelo Morbelli, who had strong ties to the town. It is the perfect occasion to combine a passion for textile art with the discovery of an authentic corner of Piedmont.
