Three days dedicated to extra virgin olive oil in the heart of Sicily
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Regalbuto Olive Oil Festival is a food and wine event held every December in Regalbuto, a small town in the province of Enna located in the heart of Sicily, on the shores of Lake Pozzillo. Established in 2022, the festival is dedicated to promoting the extra virgin olive oil produced in this region—where olive cultivation has ancient roots—as well as local agricultural products, with a special focus on quality and organic production.
For three days, the historic center of Regalbuto, particularly Piazza della Repubblica, comes alive with stands from local oil producers and artisans. Visitors can sample the new season's oil, discover local specialties, and enjoy a packed program of events:
As the holidays approach, the festival also features its Christmas Village, where Sicilian delicacies are paired with Christmas carols to create a joyful atmosphere in anticipation of the festive season. This combination of promoting extra virgin olive oil and the holiday spirit makes the event a cherished appointment for the Regalbuto community and visitors from the Enna hinterland.
Regalbuto, with its Roman origins and medieval past, has always been linked to olive cultivation. The Regalbuto Olive Oil Festival was created precisely to share and promote this tradition, connecting producers, oil mills, trade associations, and the municipal administration. Over the years, the event has seen the participation of industry leaders such as APO Catania and Apolio, as well as chefs and experts who have hosted conferences and book presentations on the theme of olive oil and oleotourism in Sicily.
The Regalbuto Olive Oil Festival returns in 2026 to Regalbuto (province of Enna) for a new edition dedicated to extra virgin olive oil and local Sicilian products.
The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been officially announced; the organizers have indicated that the program will be published shortly. Based on previous editions, the event is traditionally held in December, in the period leading up to the Christmas holidays, featuring producer stands, new oil tastings, cooking shows, markets, and the Christmas Village.
To stay updated on dates and the final program, it is recommended to follow the official channels of the Municipality of Regalbuto and the event.
