The Rabland Volunteer Fire Brigade Festival

The Rabland Volunteer Fire Brigade Festival (Fest der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr Rabland) is the traditional summer celebration organized by the Volunteer Fire Brigade of Rabland (Freiwillige Feuerwehr Rabland), the most populous village in the municipality of Partschins, in the province of Bolzano, South Tyrol. Like many Feuerwehrfeste in South Tyrolean villages, the event serves as a community gathering and an opportunity to support the work of the volunteer firefighters, who have been active in Rabland since 1921.

Location

The festival takes place at the Festplatz located along Lahnstraße, behind the Geroldsaal in the center of Rabland. The outdoor space is equipped with tables, food stalls, and a stage for music: a typical South Tyrolean village festival atmosphere, nestled at the foot of the mountains in the Burgraviato area, near Merano.

Music, Food, and Conviviality

The program follows the classic spirit of a South Tyrolean Sommerfest, featuring "Musik, Speis und Trank": live music, good food, and drinks. Guests can enjoy grilled specialties, local traditional dishes, beer, and South Tyrolean wines, all served by the volunteers and their families in a cheerful and informal atmosphere that lasts late into the evening.
