The squares of Punta Secca transform into an open-air stage for street performers
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Punta Secca Street Show is a street art festival that enlivens the summer evenings in the seaside village of Punta Secca, a charming hamlet of the Municipality of Santa Croce Camerina, in the province of Ragusa, in the heart of south-eastern Sicily. For the first time, the squares overlooking the sea open up to street performers, transforming the entire town into a grand open-air theater under the stars.
Jugglers, clowns, acrobats, tightrope walkers, fire shows, magic, and poetry alternate along the streets and historic squares of Punta Secca, offering a whirlwind of emotions filled with laughter, amazement, and connection. The performances are designed for audiences of all ages, with spontaneity and direct engagement with the public as their hallmark.
The performances take place in the village's most characteristic squares, which for the occasion become scattered stages:
The audience strolls from one square to another, following the itinerant shows in a festive atmosphere that involves both residents and tourists.
Punta Secca is known throughout Italy as the "Marinella" of Inspector Montalbano: here you will find the famous house with the veranda overlooking the sea, the star of the television series based on the novels by Andrea Camilleri. The street art festival adds a new cultural dimension to a place already beloved for its lighthouse, its beaches, and its Mediterranean charm.
The Punta Secca Street Show, under the artistic direction of Antonio Carnemolla, is part of the summer event calendar promoted by the Pro Loco of Santa Croce Camerina, with the support of GAL Terra Barocca and the Municipality of Santa Croce Camerina. Admission to the shows is free.
The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: it is recommended to follow the official channels of the Pro Loco and the Municipality for program updates.
