Predonico Firefighters Festival

A village festival in the woods of Predonico

The Predonico Firefighters Festival (in German Waldfest der FF Perdonig) is the traditional summer celebration organized by the Volunteer Firefighters of Predonico/Gaido (Freiwillige Feuerwehr Perdonig/Gaid), the volunteer corps serving the small village of Predonico/Perdonig, nestled at an altitude of about 900 meters in the municipality of Appiano sulla strada del vino/Eppan an der Weinstraße, in the Province of Bolzano/Bozen (Trentino-Alto Adige).

Following the tradition of South Tyrolean Feuerwehrfeste, the event takes place outdoors on the forest festival grounds (Festplatz im Wald), in a cool, shaded natural setting that makes this gathering particularly pleasant in the heart of summer. It is a community festival where proceeds support the activities of the volunteer firefighters, the backbone of village life.

• Local cuisine and beer: Draft beer, burgers, and South Tyrolean gastronomic specialties served by the volunteers.
• Live music: Each evening features a different band, from Partybudl on Friday to the Vincent & Fernando duo, and Uboot Krainer for the Sunday lunch.
• Family atmosphere: An event designed for all ages, immersed in the woods above the Oltradige/Überetsch basin.

How to reach Predonico

Predonico/Perdonig is a mountain hamlet in the municipality of Appiano. During the festival, a free shuttle service runs from the Tetter parking lot and the S.
