Guided tours of the Grieserhof orchards

In Nalles (Nals in German), a small wine and fruit-growing town in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, in the heart of Trentino-South Tyrol, the Grieserhof farm opens its orchards to the public. Every Tuesday, from July to October, an Apple Ambassador leads visitors on a walk through the rows, sharing the story of the work that goes into every South Tyrolean apple.

An immersion in apple culture

South Tyrol is the largest contiguous fruit-growing area in Europe, and apple cultivation is a pillar of the local economy. During the tour, the ambassador explains the various stages of orchard work: spring irrigation techniques, soil mulching, plant care, and the harvest season. You will learn about the main varieties and brands of South Tyrolean apples, as well as the health benefits of their nutrients.

The tasting

The experience concludes with a tasting of some of the most popular apple varieties grown on the farm, accompanied by a sample of apple juice. It is a direct and convivial way to appreciate the region's signature fruit.

The Grieserhof farm

Grieserhof is located at St. Vigilstrasse 38/A, a short distance from the center of Nalles. The farming family specializes in apple cultivation and welcomes visitors to their orchards, offering an authentic opportunity to connect with agricultural life in the upper Adige valley.

• Registration fee: 2 euros per person (free for guests of accommodation providers affiliated with the Nalles tourist board)
• Booking required by 12:00 PM the day before
• Minimum of 4 participants required
