The Pork Factor of Concordia sulla Secchia
In the heart of the Bassa modenese, Pork Factor is now an eagerly awaited event at the start of summer in Concordia sulla Secchia, in the province of Modena (Emilia-Romagna). Founded in 2011, the event is organized by the association I Fiol d'la Schifosa and has established itself as one of the most beloved gastronomic festivals in the area: in over ten editions, it has raised approximately €150,000 for charity.
The heart of the event is the barbecue competition: teams from the town and its hamlets compete at the stoves, creating a fun and creative contest where culinary skill and scenic flair are equally important. Each year there is a theme to interpret, and around the grills, a program of live concerts, DJ sets, challenges, and festive moments animates the Polisportiva Concordiese until late at night.
A festival with a purpose
What makes Pork Factor special is its solidarity: all proceeds are donated to charitable projects, with a particular focus on children. Over the years, the association has supported the Pediatric Oncohematology department of the Policlinico di Modena and numerous local organizations such as ASEOP, ADMO, AMO, and other associations dedicated to children's health.

Pork Factor — edition 2026
Pork Factor 2026 returned to Concordia sulla Secchia from June 11 to 14, at the Polisportiva Concordiese. This year's barbecue competition theme was dedicated to TV Series, with teams challenged to interpret it with creativity and showmanship as well as grilling skills. Four days of celebration, music, and solidarity, with the usual charitable commitment to children and the Pediatric Oncohematology department of the Policlinico di Modena.

How to get there
Concordia sulla Secchia is located in the Bassa modenese area, near the border with the province of Mantua. By car, it is accessible from the A22 Brenner motorway (Pegognaga or Reggiolo-Rolo exit) and the A1 motorway (Carpi exit). Ample parking is available near the sports center.
Admission and tickets
Admission to the festival is generally free. The Saturday barbecue competition with the all you can eat formula requires a ticket (in recent years, around €20 for adults, €10 for children aged 5-10, free for younger children). It is advisable to check the official website for times and details.
