A festival for the rock of tomorrow

The Ponte Ospedaletto 'n' Rock Festival was born with a simple and authentic idea: to give a real stage to emerging and independent Italian bands. Every year, in the hamlet of Ponte Ospedaletto, in the Municipality of Longiano (Province of Forlì-Cesena, Emilia-Romagna), the Parco della Costituzione Europea transforms for two evenings into an outpost of the underground rock scene, welcoming musicians, fans, and the curious in a popular festival atmosphere.

How the contest works

The heart of the event is a contest reserved for young bands: ten bands from all over Italy take turns on the same stage presenting their original songs, judged by a jury of industry professionals. It is a concrete opportunity for visibility and comparison for new projects, in line with the spirit of the festival, defined by the organizers as «essential and authentic, dedicated to emerging rock».

Evening Guests

Each evening concludes with a live performance by bands already established in the contemporary rock scene, serving as experienced counterparts to the bands competing. Recent editions have featured names such as Ananda Mida, Lennon Kelly, Jukebox74, and the afrobeat band Rumba de Bodas, testifying to a varied musical offering that ranges across rock, psychedelia, and cross-genre influences.

Music, Food, and Community

In addition to music, the festival offers DJ sets, guests, and the gastronomic stand of the Pro Loco of Longiano, active on both evenings, complemented in some editions by craft markets. Admission is free, confirming the event's popular and inclusive nature.

Longiano and Romagna

Longiano is one of the most charming villages in Romagna, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, with its Malatestian Castle dominating the hilly landscape between Cesena and the sea. The festival, organized by the Pro Loco of Longiano with the patronage of the Municipality and the collaboration of entities like Woodoo Sound Labs, is set within this context, enhancing the Ponte Ospedaletto hamlet and providing a space for new generations of live music.
