Every year, in the final days of August, the community gathers to celebrate the iconic dish of Italian gastronomic tradition: pizza. Not just any pizza, but one baked on the spot at the piazza stands, in many varieties designed to satisfy both adults and children.

Three evenings in Piazza Bonaventura Tecchi

The beating heart of the event is Piazza Bonaventura Tecchi, named after the writer who hailed from these very lands. For three consecutive evenings, the space comes alive starting at 8 PM and remains vibrant until midnight: the scent of the oven, outdoor tables, chatter between neighbors and visitors arriving from nearby towns. The formula is the simple, time-tested one of village festivals: you choose your favorite pizza at the stands, sit together, and spend the evening in good company.

Pizza in Piazza is organized by the volunteers of the Bagnoregio Pro Loco together with the inhabitants of Vetriolo. It is the result of the work of many people who, every summer, dedicate their time and energy to bringing the piazza to life and keeping a tradition alive that has been renewed for several editions. The proceeds support the association's activities and the hamlet's initiatives, in a virtuous circle typical of Italian festivals.
