About Pellegrina Legends 4All

Pellegrina Legends 4All is the Susa Valley's premier cycling festival, which in 2026 makes Susa and its Legends Arena its official headquarters. This non-competitive, cycle-touring weekend is open to all types of bikes—gravel, road, MTB, and e-bike—winding along the tracks of the Via Francigena through villages, abbeys, and ancient pilgrimage routes. At the heart of the event is the 4ALL philosophy: routes designed for amateurs, families, and people with disabilities, ensuring that cycling is truly an experience for everyone in the heart of Piedmont.

A ride for everyone in the heart of the Susa Valley

The Pellegrina Legends 4All has become a staple of late summer for cycling enthusiasts in Piedmont. Now in its sixth edition, the 2026 event organized by the Guide Discovery Valsusa association will be based at the Legends Arena in Susa, in the province of Turin. It transforms the Susa Valley into a vast cycling route crossing dozens of municipalities, through villages, countryside, and ancient pilgrimage paths. This is not a timed race, but a non-competitive, cycle-touring event where the joy of riding together matters more than the clock.

Following the Via Francigena

The event is centered on the Via Francigena, the historic route that has led pilgrims through the Susa Valley toward the Moncenisio pass for centuries. The Pellegrina tracks partially follow the Ciclovia Francigena, alternating between secondary paved roads, dirt tracks, and rural paths, offering a journey that is as much about sport as it is about culture and scenery. A symbolic highlight of the 2026 edition is the Novalesa Abbey, which celebrates the 1,300th anniversary of its founding (726 AD).

A multi-route format

The 2026 edition offers five itineraries starting and ending in Susa, calibrated by length and elevation gain to suit every level of fitness:

  • Gravel Long Marathon - approx. 100 km and 1,230 meters of elevation gain, also suitable for MTB and e-bikes;
  • Gravel Medium - approx. 65 km and 750 meters of elevation gain, passing through Bussoleno and San Giorio di Susa with a return via Villar Focchiardo;
  • Road Long - approx. 100 km and 1,300 meters of elevation gain on asphalt;
  • Road Medium - approx. 75 km and 830 meters of elevation gain;
  • Pellegrina 4ALL - a short 15 km loop with approx. 120 meters of elevation gain, designed for families, children, and people with disabilities, winding through the streets of Susa.

The 4ALL philosophy

The true hallmark of the Pellegrina is its inclusive spirit. The 4ALL project centers on the idea that the bicycle is a tool for social connection and inclusion: the event is open to amateurs, cycle tourists, families, and people with special needs, with dedicated guides and equipment making the routes accessible to those with disabilities. Alongside the ride, there is a bike village featuring entertainment, thematic talks, and music, as well as social gatherings like the food party and award ceremonies.

A local event

Organized by Guide Discovery Valsusa, the Pellegrina Legends 4All promotes slow tourism and sustainable mobility throughout the Susa Valley, highlighting the valley's small towns, their traditions, and the region's historical and religious heritage. It is a chance to discover an authentic corner of Piedmont in the saddle, amidst mountains, abbeys, history, and local hospitality.

Pellegrina Legends 4All — edition 2026
