The Patronal Feast of Agordino

Every July 22nd, the municipality of Rocca Pietore, in the province of Belluno, gathers around its patron saint, Saint Mary Magdalene, to whom the main church of the town is dedicated. It is one of the most cherished events in the Ladin community, an occasion that blends spirituality, tradition, and conviviality at the foot of the Marmolada.

Solemn Mass and Procession

The day begins with the solemn mass, celebrated in the parish church, followed by the traditional procession that winds through the village streets. This is the most solemn moment of the feast, where the community renews its bond with the saint and its roots.

Feast in the Square

After the religious part, the celebration moves to the main square (or to the "El Teaz" hall in case of bad weather), where local sweets and typical regional products are offered. It's an opportunity for residents and visitors to come together and share the flavors of the mountains in a joyful atmosphere.
