The Patronal Feast of Saint Mark is celebrated every April 25th in Lastebasse, one of the smallest and most secluded municipalities in the province of Vicenza, located in the upper Astico valley, close to the border with Trentino. Saint Mark the Evangelist is the patron saint of the village, and his feast day is the main religious and community event of the year.
A Day of Faith and Community
The heart of the feast is the solemn sung Mass, animated by the parish choirs of Lastebasse and nearby Pedemonte, which takes place in the church dedicated to the saint. Around the liturgical celebration, there are moments of gathering, cultural activities, and convivial occasions that involve the entire population of the village.

Lastebasse is part of the Alto Astico and Posina territory, a corner of the Vicenza mountains with quiet landscapes and strong Alpine roots. The feast of Saint Mark is jointly organized by the Municipal Administration, the Parish of Saint Mark, and the Pro Loco Lastebasse, demonstrating how, in small municipalities, the patron saint's feast remains a fundamental moment of cohesion and identity.

On April 25, 2026, Lastebasse celebrated its Patronal Feast of Saint Mark, confirming an event deeply rooted in the life of the village. The day followed the usual structure, with the solemn sung Mass by the parish choirs at the center of the celebrations, accompanied by moments of gathering and cultural activities jointly curated by the Municipality, the Parish, and the Pro Loco Lastebasse.
As happens in small mountain communities, the patron saint's feast was above all an occasion for cohesion for the community of the upper Astico valley, between faith, tradition, and a sense of belonging to the territory.

How to Get There
Lastebasse can be reached by car by driving up the Astico Valley from Arsiero and Pedemonte; from Trentino, it is accessible from Folgaria and Lavarone. There are no direct train connections: the nearest useful station is Thiene-Schio, from which you can continue by car.
