The artistic gymnastics summer camp by Olympic champion Jury Chechi in Fai della Paganella
The Paganella Gym Camp is the summer artistic gymnastics camp created and led by Jury Chechi, the legendary "Lord of the Rings," Olympic champion at Athens 2004, and a long-time ambassador and friend of Fai della Paganella. Every summer, the Paganella plateau, in the heart of the Brenta Dolomites, welcomes dozens of young enthusiasts for a week entirely dedicated to sport, friendship, and mountain life.
The camp is designed for children and teenagers aged 8 to 16 who want to improve their technique or simply enjoy an unforgettable experience alongside a champion. You don't need to be a competitive athlete: the program is tailored to different skill levels, from beginners to the more experienced, with an approach that combines discipline, fun, and personal growth.
Days are divided between training sessions at the Fai della Paganella Sports Hall and outdoor activities, taking advantage of the plateau's natural setting. Under the guidance of Jury Chechi and his staff, participants work on technique, strength, coordination, and balance, alternating sports activities with games, excursions, and community life. The camp is offered in two formats: a residential session at the beginning of summer, including overnight stays, and a day camp at the end of the season.
The added value of the Paganella Gym Camp is the constant presence of Jury Chechi, who joins the young athletes in the gym every day to pass on the values of sport: commitment, sacrifice, respect, and passion. It is an educational experience that goes beyond gymnastics and has made this event one of the most anticipated in the Paganella summer calendar.
The camp is held in Fai della Paganella, a small municipality in the Autonomous Province of Trento, in Trentino-Alto Adige. Nestled between forests and pastures and overlooking the Brenta Dolomites, the village is one of the most beloved summer destinations in Trentino for families, featuring the famous Parco del Respiro and a rich calendar of sporting and children's events. It is an ideal setting for combining sports, nature, and mountain wellness.
The Paganella Gym Camp with Jury Chechi returns in summer 2026 with two sessions in Fai della Paganella. The first, residential, takes place from June 28 to July 3, 2026 and has already sold out; the second, in day camp format, is scheduled from August 31 to September 4, 2026.
As every year, the camp is dedicated to young people aged 8 to 16 and includes artistic gymnastics training at the Fai della Paganella Sports Hall, outdoor activities, and the daily presence of Jury Chechi. Notably, during the same days as the first session, the JCA Evolution Camp for calisthenics will also be held for adults and enthusiasts.
Activities: artistic gymnastics training in the gym, work on technique, strength and balance, outdoor activities, and daily meetings with Olympic champion Jury Chechi. For girls and boys aged 8 to 16.
Fai della Paganella can be reached by car from the A22 motorway exit at San Michele all'Adige/Mezzocorona (about 20 km), then by following the road that climbs up to the plateau. The nearest train station is Trento, which is connected by bus lines to the Paganella plateau.
Registration for the camp is handled by the Dolomiti Paganella Tourism Board. Places are limited and sessions can fill up quickly: it is recommended to book well in advance by contacting the tourist offices or visiting the website visitpaganella.it.
Fai della Paganella and the nearby villages of Andalo and Molveno offer numerous family-friendly accommodations; the residential session includes organized lodging for participants.
