A festival dedicated to families in the heart of the Dolomites
The Paganella Family Festival is the most anticipated summer event for families choosing the Paganella Plateau in the Autonomous Province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). For one full week every June, the region transforms into a vast open-air playground, with the town of Andalo serving as the main hub, alongside the municipalities of Molveno, Fai della Paganella, Cavedago, and Spormaggiore.
Activities in nature
The festival focuses on nature and discovery. Offerings range from guided walks with expert naturalists and flower and leaf gathering to visits to malghe (alpine dairies) to meet the animals, try milking, and watch cheese being made, as well as forest bathing experiences in the Parco del Respiro in Fai della Paganella. There are also plenty of creative workshops for the little ones, featuring storytelling, games, and hands-on activities.
Adventure and sports for all ages
Action lovers will find plenty to do: the Andalo Life Park offers rock climbing, a bike school, horse riding, a swimming pool, and playgrounds, while a zipline runs through the woods for those seeking the thrill of flight. At Lake Molveno, one of Italy's most beautiful lakes, you can rent electric boats, pedal boats, and go-gos, or cool off in the water park. Easy trails, suitable for strollers, allow the whole family to explore at a leisurely pace.

2026 Edition
From June 14 to 21, 2026, the Paganella Family Festival offered a week entirely dedicated to families on the Paganella Plateau. Activities took place across Andalo, Molveno, and Fai della Paganella, with nature experiences designed for children of all ages.
Highlights
The program alternated between guided nature walks in the Parco del Respiro, creative workshops (from nature photography to cheese-making in alpine dairies), and sports activities such as rock climbing at the Andalo Life Park, bike school, and the forest zipline. To cool off, the Molveno Acquapark and Lake Molveno offered boat and pedal boat rentals.

How to get there
By car: A22 Brenner motorway, exit at San Michele all'Adige/Mezzocorona, then take the SS43 and SP421 towards Andalo (approx. 40 km from Trento). By train: Trento station, then take the local bus to the Paganella Plateau. Nearest airports: Verona Villafranca and Bergamo Orio al Serio.
