The Pachino Carnival

The Pachino Carnival is one of the most cherished winter events in the province of Syracuse, located at the southernmost tip of Sicily. Organized by the Pro Loco of Pachino, the event transforms the town's historic center into an open-air stage filled with masks, music, color, and joy. The beating heart of the festival is Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, the starting point for parades and entertainment that involve the entire community.

In Pachino, the Carnival preserves the authentic spirit of Sicilian village festivals. Alongside the masks and costumed groups, the Pro Loco hosts events dedicated to taste and tradition, featuring stalls with local products and regional specialties. When it takes place

The Pachino Carnival is traditionally held in the days leading up to Shrove Tuesday in February. For the 2026 edition, the Pro Loco of Pachino has announced a calendar of events running from February 12 to 17, 2026, under the theme "Carnival is served!", highlighting the link between celebration, food, and tradition.
