A theatre season in the heart of the Valle del Mela

The Pace del Mela Municipal Auditorium Theatre Season is the main cultural event in this municipality in the Province of Messina, in the Tyrrhenian part of Sicily. Every winter, from December until spring, the Municipal Auditorium on Via Auditorium hosts a programme of performances designed for a broad and diverse audience, alternating great Italian comedy with traditional theatre, from brilliant comedies to musical moments.

The Auditorium and the Teatro del Mela Foundation

The festival is promoted by the Municipality of Pace del Mela together with the Teatro del Mela Foundation, an organization created to make the Auditorium a stable place for training, experimentation, and theatrical culture serving the local area. The facility, renovated in recent years, is now a reference point for spectators from the Valle del Mela and the Milazzo district, with a programme ranging from classical prose to contemporary productions, without forgetting events dedicated to schools and younger audiences.

Great names on stage

Over the years, the season has brought leading performers of Italian theatre and television to Pace del Mela. The 2024/2025 season, under the artistic direction of Antonio Grosso, featured a line-up of eight shows with stars such as Ezio Greggio, Carlo Buccirosso, Sergio Muniz, Marco Cavallaro, and Enzo De Caro, alongside the inaugural performance by the "Città di Pace del Mela" Band.
