OvindoliAmo, a night of taste in the heart of Ovindoli

OvindoliAmo — Sounds, Flavours, Scents is a food and wine festival that every summer turns the historic centre of Ovindoli, in the province of L'Aquila, into an open-air culinary itinerary. The village's alleys, stairways, and squares fill with wineries, stalls, and music: with a tasting glass provided at the entrance, visitors wander from stand to stand, sampling Abruzzo wines and typical products from the Marsica mountains.

A journey through wineries, flavours, and crafts

The event weaves together three dimensions — sounds, flavours, and scents — which also form its name. Along the route, you will find Abruzzo wine producers, accompanied by sommeliers to guide your tasting, and stalls dedicated to local specialities. The gastronomic offerings include saffron, truffles, mushrooms, cheeses and cured meats, fresh pasta, mountain legumes and cereals, sweets, honey, and jams, often based on traditional family recipes from the Altopiano delle Rocche.

Live music and the village by night

The evening's soundtrack accompanies the journey: from bands animating the alleys to concerts in the main squares of the historic centre, such as Piazza San Rocco, live music — featuring jazz, singer-songwriter sets, and folk rhythms — sets the pace for the festivities. Alongside the wineries, there is also space for local craftsmanship, with regional artists showcasing and selling their creations.

An event born from the village

Born in 2009 from the initiative of a group of young people from Ovindoli, now gathered in the OvindoliAmo association in collaboration with the Pro Loco, the event has become one of the most iconic appointments of the Ovindoli summer, attracting thousands of visitors to the village. Located in the Sirente-Velino Regional Natural Park, in the heart of the mountain Abruzzo, Ovindoli offers an authentic way to experience its historic centre during these evenings, blending food and wine tradition with conviviality.
