The Ottobrata Gravinese is the signature autumn event in Gravina di Catania, a bustling town on the outskirts of the Etna area in the Province of Catania, just a few kilometers from the city center. Though established only recently, it has already become a staple of the local calendar, celebrating seasonal flavors and Sicilian folk traditions during an open-air evening in Piazza della Libertà, the town's main gathering spot.

The heart of the festival lies in its autumn-themed tastings. In the square, visitors can enjoy grilled sausage, classic roasted chestnuts, and new wine—products that reflect the rural culture of the Etna hinterland. The evening is accompanied by the «Balera sotto le Stelle» (Ballroom under the Stars), with live music and group dances that turn the square into a large open-air dance floor. The event is organized by the Municipality of Gravina di Catania, with the support of the Associazione Maria SS.ma del Rosario, which helped launch the first editions.
