Three days of music, sports, and street performers under the 'La Teglia' in Orta di Atella
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Orta Fuori is the festival that has brought music, sports, and popular culture to the squares of Orta di Atella, a town in the province of Caserta, Campania. The heart of the event is Piazza Principessa di Belmonte, the space locals affectionately call 'La Teglia', along with the liturgical area of the Convent of the Friars Minor on Via San Salvatore: two locations that transform into a stage, a sports field, and an open-air lounge for three days.
The idea comes from the Artenova association, which developed the project together with TerrAntica and Asd Cantera Ortese, under the patronage of the Municipality of Orta di Atella. The organizers' stated goal is to combat the socio-cultural desertification that has affected this populous Atellano town in recent years, restoring opportunities for community gathering. Hence the chosen formula: events dedicated to sports, health awareness, and nature, combined with a dynamic vision of culture where the street becomes the natural setting for entertainment.
The inaugural edition took place from October 6th to 8th, 2023, featuring three days of free admission. On the opening Friday at 7 PM, the authorities' welcome gave way to the voice of Ludovico Pisano and the choreography of the Tiziana Dance school, followed by the folk and ethnic music of Scialacore and Ra di Spina. The main day was dedicated to street basketball in the late afternoon, dance school performances, and the cabaret of Lello Musella, a familiar face from 'Made in Sud', followed by rap and soul sounds. Sunday, opened by morning sports activities, closed with the electronic music of Luk's and the rock-ska concert of Bisca, a historic Neapolitan band.
In 2024, the event moved to the beginning of summer: from June 14th to 16th, Orta Fuori returned to the same spaces, between the liturgical area of the convent on Via San Salvatore and Piazza Principessa di Belmonte, with three days of culture, sports, and entertainment. The change of season allowed for longer evenings outdoors and provided even more space for live music, markets, and activities for children.
Orta di Atella is located in the Atella area, a few kilometers from the border with the Metropolitan City of Naples, in a territory that owes its name to the ancient Oscan city of Atella, home of the fabulae atellanae, the popular farces that are at the origin of Latin comic theater. This is no minor detail: an event that brings entertainment back to the street, mixing music and comedy, fits into an ancient local tradition. The town also preserves the Franciscan convent linked to the figure of Saint Salvatore of Horta, which gives its name to the street overlooking the event area, now one of the few open spaces for gathering in the town.
As of the update of this page, local sources document the 2023 and 2024 editions with certainty, while there are no official announcements or confirmed dates for 2025 and 2026. In the meantime, the Artenova association has continued to work in the Atella area with other festivals dedicated to street artists and music. Those wishing to participate in a future edition of Orta Fuori can follow the channels of the Municipality of Orta di Atella and the local Caserta press: announcements are generally released a few weeks before the event.
As of the date of this report, no 2026 edition of Orta Fuori in Orta di Atella, in the province of Caserta, has been announced. The local sources consulted only document the 2023 and 2024 editions: therefore, there are no certain dates, no program, and no line-up for this year.
The date shown above is a simple placeholder, inserted to place the event in the period in which it was held most recently, and does not correspond to any official announcement. As soon as the Artenova association, together with TerrAntica and Asd Cantera Ortese, or the Municipality of Orta di Atella announce the days of the new edition, this page will be updated with dates, locations, and the full program.
Those who want to stay updated can follow the institutional channels of the Municipality and the local Caserta press, where announcements regarding events in the Atella area are generally published a few weeks before the event.

By car: take the Asse Mediano (SS 162 NC) exit, the artery connecting Caserta to the area north of Naples; the town is about twenty minutes from Caserta and about half an hour from the center of Naples. By train: the most convenient stations are Frattamaggiore-Grumo Nevano and Aversa, on the Naples-Aversa-Caserta line, connected to Orta di Atella by local buses.
In the documented editions, admission has always been free; you only pay for what you consume at the food stalls.
Shows are concentrated in the evening, while sports activities and workshops take place in the morning and late afternoon: this is the best time for those arriving with children. The event area is outdoors, so it is advisable to leave your car in the surrounding streets and reach the square on foot.
