The free summer festival of the Municipality of Lusciano, held between Parco Alberto Sordi and the Palazzo Ducale
Estate Insieme is the festival with which the Municipality of Lusciano, located in the Agro Aversano area of Caserta province, celebrates the warmest months of the year. Rather than a festival concentrated over a few days, it is a widespread calendar of free evening events that, from early July to the end of August, brings public spaces to life with live music, dance, open-air screenings, and social gatherings for all ages. The administration's goal is simple and practical: to restore the centrality of neighborhood social life and offer quality entertainment at no cost to the public.
The 2026 edition kicked off on Sunday, July 5th at Parco Alberto Sordi with "Dancing Under the Stars," an intergenerational music and dance evening designed to get grandparents, parents, and children dancing together. The program continued with a mix of tribute concerts, dance events, and cinema under the stars:
The choice of tributes is intentional: on one hand, popular Neapolitan music with the homage to Nino D'Angelo, which speaks directly to the collective memory of the area; on the other, contemporary Italian pop with the tribute to Cesare Cremonini, which appeals to younger audiences. This same logic governs the entire festival, built to be inclusive of all age groups.
Events are divided between two iconic local venues. Parco Alberto Sordi is Lusciano's most popular green space, perfect for dance nights and concerts, with plenty of room to sit on the grass or bring your own chair. The Palazzo Ducale grounds, on Via Costanzo, offer a more intimate and scenic setting: the palace, listed among the FAI sites, is the most important historic building in the town center and also houses the Proloco headquarters. Watching a film or listening to a concert in front of its facade completely transforms the perception of a space that is otherwise just a thoroughfare for the rest of the year.
All Estate Insieme events are free to attend. Each evening is accompanied by refreshments offered to those presentโpizza, sandwiches, watermelon, or popcorn depending on the eventโwhich has become a recognizable signature of the festival and contributes to the village-fete atmosphere. No reservations or tickets are required: just show up, take a seat, and stay as long as you like.
The festival is promoted by the Municipality of Lusciano with the organizational support of the APS Proloco Orizzonti Comuni Lusciano, a local association based in the Palazzo Ducale that works to promote the cultural, tourist, and social development of the area. The model is one common in Campania: a collaboration between public bodies and local associations, where the Municipality provides the spaces and institutional framework, while the Proloco manages the organization and volunteer involvement.
Lusciano is a municipality in the province of Caserta, in Campania, situated in the densely populated Agro Aversano area, just a few kilometers from Aversa and a short distance from the Naples metropolitan area. It is a territory where public meeting spaces are precious and where municipal summer programs serve a function that goes far beyond entertainment: they are the moments when the town gathers outdoors in the evening after the heat of the day. Estate Insieme fits into this tradition and revitalizes it with a more structured and continuous program spanning nearly two months.
The Estate Insieme 2026 program was presented by the Municipality of Lusciano together with the APS Proloco Orizzonti Comuni and covers nearly two months of events, from early July to late August. The formula is that of a free, widespread festival, alternating between two outdoor venues: Parco Alberto Sordi, the town's most popular green space, and the Palazzo Ducale grounds on Via Costanzo.
The debut, on Sunday July 5th, was "Dancing Under the Stars," an evening of music and dance designed to bring different generations together. This was followed by the two most anticipated musical events: the July 10th tribute to Nino D'Angelo at Parco Alberto Sordi, with refreshments and pizza, and the July 17th tribute to Cesare Cremonini at the Palazzo Ducale, with free sandwiches distributed to the public.
On July 21st, it was time for "Cinema Under the Stars," an open-air screening accompanied by watermelon and popcorn for children. The last weekend of July brought back dance nights, while the festival concludes on August 28th with "Junior Night," an event entirely dedicated to younger audiences.
All events are free to attend: no tickets or reservations are required.
The times for individual evenings are communicated by the Municipality of Lusciano and the Proloco Orizzonti Comuni; shows are held in the evening. The program may be updated with further events in August.
By car: Lusciano can be reached via the Asse Mediano and the Variante Aversana; it is only a few kilometers from Naples and Caserta. Parking is available on the streets adjacent to Parco Alberto Sordi and the Palazzo Ducale (Via Costanzo).
By train: the reference station is Aversa, connected to Naples and Rome, from where you can continue by bus or taxi.
By plane: the nearest airport is Naples-Capodichino.
All events are free, with no tickets or reservations required. On several evenings, refreshments are provided free of charge to the public.
