Five Thursdays, five districts: summer evenings in the heart of Rovereto
One Summer Thursday in Rovereto is the festival that brings the historic center of the Lagarina Valley to life every Thursday evening throughout July. Also known as Rovereto Under the Stars, the initiative follows a simple and successful formula: five Thursdays, five districts, five evenings to enjoy. Each week, a different neighborhood in the center takes center stage, welcoming residents and visitors with performances, music, entertainment, and shops open until late.
The festival was created to highlight all the urban districts of Rovereto's center, shifting the focus of the festivities to a different area of the city each Thursday. The calendar visits, in order, the Quercia District, the Downtown District, the San Marco District, the Culture District, and the Santa Maria District. Thus, week by week, the public is invited to explore lesser-known streets and squares, discovering workshops, local venues, and hidden corners of the capital of the Vallagarina.
The program for each evening brings together diverse genres and styles. There is no shortage of live music featuring the city band, DJ sets, tango performances, and choirs alternating throughout the five evenings. A significant focus is dedicated to children, with evening workshops at Rovereto's museums as part of the "Museums in the Open Air" initiative, alongside children's shows and entertainment. Bars and restaurants in the center participate by offering food and drinks, while shops remain open in the evening, creating a blend of culture, entertainment, and local commerce.
The event is organized by the Consorzio Rovereto in Centro in close collaboration with the Municipality of Rovereto, Rigenera Rovereto, and the urban districts of the city center. It is part of a broader strategy for the regeneration and animation of public spaces, designed to make the historic center vibrant and welcoming even on summer evenings. These Thursday events are part of a rich summer calendar that also includes other widespread events such as La Tavolata.
Located in the heart of the Vallagarina, in the province of Trento and the Trentino-Alto Adige region, Rovereto is known as the "City of the Oak" and as an important cultural hub, home to the MART and the Bell of the Fallen. The summer Thursday festival is an ideal opportunity to experience the city in a different light, combining the discovery of urban heritage with the pleasure of an evening outdoors filled with music, flavors, and good company.
The 2026 edition of One Summer Thursday in Rovereto took place every Thursday in July: July 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31, 2026. Each evening was dedicated to a different district of the historic center, following the now-established calendar: Quercia District (July 3), Downtown District (July 10), San Marco District (July 17), Culture District (July 24), and Santa Maria District (July 31).
The program featured live music, DJ sets, performances, tango exhibitions, choirs, entertainment, and evening workshops at city museums for children and families, with bars and restaurants open and city shops active during the evening hours. The initiative was organized by the Consorzio Rovereto in Centro with the Municipality of Rovereto and Rigenera Rovereto.
Every evening: live music, DJ sets, choirs, performances, museum workshops for children, street food, and shops open.
Rovereto is served by the railway station on the Brenner line (Verona-Trento-Bolzano) and by the Rovereto Sud motorway exit on the A22 Brenner motorway. The evenings take place in the historic center, which is easily reachable on foot from the station.
Every Thursday evening in July, from late afternoon until late at night, in a different district of the center.
Access to the animated streets and squares is free; some activities, food, and drinks may require payment.
Detailed program for each evening is available on the Consorzio Rovereto in Centro website.
