About On the Tracks of rEsistance

In Ariccia, set within the green surroundings of the Parco Romano Biodistretto, comes the third stop of "On the Tracks of rEsistance," the traveling festival of the Castelli Romani promoted by the Eppur si Muove association in collaboration with the Castelli Romani Library System and funded by the Lazio Region. On Saturday, July 25, 2026, under the title "SCONFINATE" (Boundless), enjoy a free-entry day dedicated to rights, memory, and citizenship, featuring a farmers' market, workshops, book presentations, and concerts, culminating in an evening live performance by Cristina Donà.

A widespread festival traversing the Castelli Romani

"On the Tracks of rEsistance" is a traveling, widespread festival that visits different municipalities of the Castelli Romani, in the heart of the Province of Rome, every year. Conceived and promoted by the Eppur si Muove association together with the Castelli Romani Library System and supported by the Lazio Region, the festival weaves together music, theater, literature, and civic engagement to reflect on the memory of the Resistance and its contemporary relevance: rights, citizenship, feminism, social justice, and local communities.

The Ariccia stop: "SCONFINATE"

For its third edition, the festival stops in Ariccia on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in the green spaces of the Parco Romano Biodistretto, in Piazzale dei Daini. The day's title, "SCONFINATE", is dedicated to rights, memory, citizenship, and culture, with a tribute to the 80th anniversary of the first women's vote in Italy. The entire day is free to enter and alternates between moments of celebration, in-depth discussion, and live performance.

A day from morning to night

From the morning, the park hosts the Castelli Romani Farmers' Market, a wellness area, creative crafts, and workshops designed for children. The program continues in the afternoon with literary presentations and workshops, culminating in the evening with concerts: from the opening Latin-American repertoire to the live performance by MIELE and the closing concert by Cristina Donà, one of the most recognizable voices in Italian singer-songwriter music, who will also present a preview of her new album in Ariccia.

Music, words, and participation

The festival is more than just a concert lineup: it is a cultural project that places participation at its core. Book presentations, dialogues with artists and activists, and theater and music workshops make every stop an opportunity for intergenerational encounter and shared reflection. In Ariccia, as in the other stops of the festival, culture and civic engagement merge in an atmosphere of popular outdoor celebration.

Ariccia and the Castelli Romani

Located on the Alban Hills, just a few kilometers from Rome, Ariccia is one of the most famous villages of the Castelli Romani, known for the monumental Palazzo Chigi, the viaduct bridge, and the gastronomic tradition of porchetta. Hosting a stop of "On the Tracks of rEsistance" in the Parco Romano Biodistretto means uniting the cultural heritage of the Lazio region with a festival that looks to the present, valuing local communities and the municipality's green spaces.
