Senza Confini - Cinema at Corto Circuito is a weekly film festival held in the courtyard of the CSOA Corto Circuito, a historic social center in the Cinecittà district of Rome, in the Lazio region. Every Tuesday evening, from late May to late September, a small open-air cinema is set up under the gazebo in the Via Filippo Serafini courtyard, where the public can watch films and documentaries for free.

Launched in 2024 and reaching its third year in 2026, the festival has carved out a recognizable space in the landscape of Rome's summer arenas: a «borderless» cinema, militant and rooted in the local area, which chooses to tell stories of struggle, resistance, and current events often absent from commercial theaters.

Programming outside the mainstream circuits

The program highlights independent, documentary, and auteur cinema, featuring Italian and international works that rarely find space in traditional distribution. The evenings alternate between fiction titles and documentaries, social cinema and glimpses of the present, with the goal of offering a different perspective on contemporary reality and giving visibility to innovative languages.

«Senza Confini» is not just a film festival: it is a collective ritual. Before each screening, starting at 8:15 PM, a community dinner is served in the courtyard, turning the evening into a convivial and social moment.
