In Castelgomberto, a town in the Agno valley in the province of Vicenza, olive cultivation is a tradition that the Oil Festival proudly celebrates. Newly established – 2026 marks the 2nd edition – the event dedicates a day to the "authentic flavors, traditions, and conviviality" linked to local extra virgin olive oil.
Tastings and Gala Dinner at Palazzo Barbaran
The festival's setting is the prestigious Palazzo Barbaran, where tastings of EVO oil and typical local products take place. The highlight is the 'Oil on the Table' gala dinner, a gourmet meal curated by chef Andrea De Poli, who reinterprets oil as the star of the dishes. The event, with limited attendance, sold out even in its second edition, indicating the growing interest in this young festival.
A Festival That Enhances the Territory
Organized by the Pro Loco Castelgomberto, the Oil Festival is part of the initiative to promote typical Vicenza products, offering curious visitors and enthusiasts the chance to discover an extra virgin olive oil linked to a still little-known hilly territory.

The 2nd Oil Festival 2026 spanned two days in Castelgomberto. On Saturday, May 23, the 'Oil on the Table' gala dinner with chef Andrea De Poli took place at Palazzo Barbaran (Sala Foscola), a gourmet meal with limited attendance that sold out. On Sunday, May 24, the main event featured tastings of local extra virgin olive oil and typical regional products. The festival was organized by Pro Loco Castelgomberto.

How to Get Here
Castelgomberto is located in the middle Agno valley, in the province of Vicenza. By car, take the A4 motorway, exit at Montecchio Maggiore, then head towards Valdagno/Castelgomberto. The nearest train station is Vicenza, followed by a bus.
Admission and Reservations
