Three days of music and festivities in Ponte a Poppi, a preview of the Mengo Music Fest
The Notte Rosa of Ponte a Poppi is one of the most anticipated summer festivals in the Casentino, the lush green valley in the heart of Tuscany, in the province of Arezzo. For a few days in early July, the squares and streets of Ponte a Poppi, a district of the Municipality of Poppi, dress in pink and fill with music, lights, scents, and crowds: an event that combines concerts by major names on the Italian scene, street entertainment, markets, and local gastronomy.
The Notte Rosa was born and has grown as a preview of the Mengo Music Fest, the historic music festival that brings Arezzo to life every summer. The idea is to extend the festival's energy to the Casentino area, offering high-quality free concerts while promoting music, local young talent, and the businesses of Ponte a Poppi. For this reason, the event is organized by local merchant associations in collaboration with the Municipality of Poppi.
The heart of the festival is live music, with a major evening concert that draws crowds from across the province. But the Notte Rosa is also, and above all, a widespread street festival: markets, gourmet corners featuring Casentino culinary specialties, shops open late, DJ sets, and a roaming dinner along the town's streets. A significant space is also dedicated to emerging local musical groups, who compete in a true battle of the bands.
Ponte a Poppi lies at the foot of the medieval village of Poppi, dominated by the famous Castello dei Conti Guidi, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved castles in Tuscany. The Notte Rosa is the perfect opportunity to discover this corner of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, where contemporary music engages with the history, nature, and authentic flavors of the Casentino.
With its free admission concerts, family-friendly atmosphere, and wide range of activities for all ages, the Notte Rosa of Ponte a Poppi is an event designed for a broad audience: families, young people, music lovers, and tourists vacationing among the villages of the Casentino and the province of Arezzo.
The 2026 Notte Rosa in Ponte a Poppi returns from July 2nd to 4th with three days of concerts, shows, markets, and gastronomy. The highlight is the free concert by Serena Brancale in Piazza Garibaldi, preceded by an evening at the Castello dei Conti Guidi and followed by a grand finale dedicated to emerging local bands. The event, a preview of the Mengo Music Fest, is organized by the merchant associations of Ponte a Poppi with the patronage of the Municipality of Poppi and the Tuscany Region.
Ponte a Poppi is located in the Municipality of Poppi (AR), in the Casentino area. By car from Arezzo, follow the SR71 towards Bibbiena/Casentino. By train, it can be reached via the Casentinese railway line (La Ferroviaria Italiana - TFT) Arezzo–Stia, getting off at the Poppi stop.
During the event, Ponte a Poppi is closed to traffic and Piazza Garibaldi is restricted to cars. Parking in the town center is limited: it is advisable to arrive early and park in the outer areas.
Concerts are free to attend. For some evenings, a limited number of paid seats are available in the area in front of the stage for those seeking a more exclusive experience.
