Barbecue, rock music, and fun in Daolasa
The Night of the Embers is a highlight of the summer in Commezzadura, a town in the Val di Sole in the province of Trento, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. The evening takes place on the large square at the foot of the Daolasa cable car, the departure station (810 meters above sea level) that transports skiers to the Folgarida-Marilleva resort in winter and transforms into a natural stage for this village festival in summer.
The event is organized by the Pro Loco Commezzadura, the local association that brings the town's summer calendar to life. The formula is the simple, winning recipe of great mountain festivals: a generous barbecue, live music, unmissable entertainment, and a DJ set that keeps the energy high until late at night. Admission is free, and you only pay for what you eat and drink.
The gastronomic heart of the evening is the mixed grill prepared by the local butcher, with meats cooked over the embers right in front of the guests. For those who prefer something quick, there are also sandwiches and fries, all accompanied by beers and wines served at the Pro Loco stalls. It is the classic convivial spirit of the Val di Sole evenings, where you sit at large outdoor tables in the company of families, holidaymakers, and locals.
The Night of the Embers is more than just dinner: it is a true festival that alternates between different moments. From dinner with acoustic music, the event moves on to the show by the Commezzadura Fire Brigade, before giving way to the rock concert and the DJ set that keeps the crowd dancing until the early hours of the morning. The square, which is spacious and equipped with parking, thus transforms into a large open-air arena.
Daolasa di Commezzadura is one of the gateways to the Folgarida-Marilleva ski and hiking area, connected to Madonna di Campiglio. In summer, the valley thrives on cycling, mountain biking, and hiking, and evenings like this are the perfect opportunity to experience the town at night, amidst tradition, good food, and cheer. An event designed for both residents and tourists, which captures the hospitable spirit of the Trentino mountains in just a few hours.
