The Night of San Lorenzo is one of the most evocative events of the summer in Valle di Ledro, in the heart of Garda Trentino. Every August 10th, coinciding with the night of the shooting stars, the historic center of Pieve di Ledro (Municipality of Ledro, Province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige) turns into an open-air stage where tradition, entertainment, and wonder blend into a single evening to be experienced with your eyes turned to the sky.

A village glowing under the Perseids

As evening falls, Piazza Müllheim and the village streets fill with soft lights that redefine the contours of the spaces, creating an atmosphere suspended between the lake and the stars. The soundtrack is provided by live music, while street performers animate the corners of the village with surprise acts. It is the so-called "night of wishes," when, according to popular tradition, every shooting star of the Perseids carries a wish to be made.

The evening program

The festival, organized by the Pro Loco of Pieve di Ledro, opens at 6:00 PM with the traditional polenta concia prepared by the Polentari of Valle di Ledro, one of the signature dishes of Trentino mountain cuisine. Following this, magic shows and entertainment designed for all ages accompany the public until late at night, when eyes turn upward to wait for the shooting stars.
