Oktoberfest Sella Giudicarie has become one of the most anticipated autumn events in the Chiese Valley, located in the municipality of Sella Giudicarie, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Every October, the festival brings the atmosphere of the Munich celebration to the shores of Lake Roncone, where the lakeside park turns into a massive popular festival featuring music, beer, and Bavarian cuisine infused with local ingredients.

Four Pro Loco, one great event

What makes this festival special is its collaborative spirit: it was born from the partnership of four local Pro Loco associations—Bondo, Breguzzo, Lardaro, and Roncone—with the Roncone Pro Loco leading the project. The event is managed by about a hundred young volunteers, supported by dozens of local businesses and producers. It is this youthful energy, combined with the cooperation between the villages, that has allowed the event to grow in just a few years to welcome around 3,000 visitors over the weekend.

Beer, sausages, and local flavors

The absolute star is the beer: high-quality Bavarian brews alongside local craft beers, with non-alcoholic options also available. The menu blends Oktoberfest classics with the valley's finest products: traditional pretzels, sausages, Trentino meats from mountain butchers, and typical Bavarian dishes, as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options. Food service continues late into the night.

Music and entertainment until late

The three-day event offers many hours of live music, with over ten artists taking the stage, covering a range of genres from Bavarian folk to high-energy party music. The atmosphere is that of a traditional beer tent, with long communal tables, toasts, and dancing.

Family Sunday

While Friday and Saturday nights are reserved for adults, Sunday opens its doors to families: the afternoon features dedicated spaces and games for children, snacks, and a relaxed atmosphere designed for both adults and kids. It is a great way to experience the festival in all its facets, from evening conviviality to daytime fun.
