Five days of Apulian flavors and traditions at the gates of Turin
The Neighborhood Festival – The Apulian Festival is one of the most beloved events on the late May calendar in Settimo Torinese, in the Province of Turin, in the heart of the Piedmontese metropolitan area. Originally started as a neighborhood gathering to bring the local community together, over the years it has evolved into a true journey through the flavors and traditions of the South, attracting visitors from across the Turin area. In 2026, the festival celebrates its sixth edition.
For five evenings, the Italo Calvino School sports area, at Viale Piave 21, fills with the scents, music, and colors of the Salento. The heart of the festival is the large food pavilion, open every evening from 7:30 PM, where you can enjoy authentic Apulian cuisine: focaccia barese, eggplant parmigiana, rustici leccesi, fava beans with chicory, bombette, orecchiette, and the essential pasticciotti. All this is accompanied by traditional Salento folk music that provides the soundtrack for the evenings.
Alongside the food, the Apulian Festival offers a different entertainment program every night: from Latin and Caribbean dance performances to tribute bands playing summer hits, from the traditional pizzica and tarantella of the Salento to evening DJ sets. The most heartfelt moment remains the final community lunch, where everyone brings something to share, followed by an afternoon of dancing open to all.
With free admission and an informal, family-friendly atmosphere, the Neighborhood Festival in Settimo Torinese is designed for families, friends, and fans of Southern Italian cuisine. It is the perfect opportunity to discover Apulian hospitality just minutes from Turin, amidst great food, dancing, and the warm welcome typical of the Salento.
The sixth edition of the Apulian Festival brought Settimo Torinese to life for five days, from May 29 to June 2, 2026, confirming itself as one of the most popular gastronomic and musical events of late spring in the Turin area. The food pavilion, open every evening from 7:30 PM, offered Apulian culinary specialties, while the stage hosted evenings dedicated to Latin dance, 80s-2000s music, Salento pizzica, and DJ sets, culminating in the traditional community lunch on June 2.
