Naturns lacht! (meaning "Naturno laughs") is the international humor festival that brings the center of Naturno (Naturns), a town in the Vinschgau Valley in the province of Bolzano, to life every August in the heart of South Tyrol. Established in 2000, the festival has become one of the most anticipated events of the South Tyrolean summer, attracting a large and loyal audience every year.

Comedy without borders under the stars

The heart of the event beats at the Freilichtbühne, the open-air arena located at the Bürger- und Rathaus in Naturno. Here, on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 9:00 PM, international artists take the stage: comedians, cabaret artists, clowns, musicians, and magicians from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. The comedy of Naturns lacht! speaks many languages and transcends borders, focusing on visual, musical, and physical humor that appeals to a diverse audience. In case of rain, the shows are not cancelled but moved indoors to the Bürgersaal.

Laughter for children too: the Kinderlachen

Alongside the evening program for adults, the festival reserves a special space for the little ones with Naturnser Kinderlachen, the series dedicated to families. On Wednesday afternoons in August at 5:30 PM, the arena fills with clowns, musicians, actors, and puppeteers for shows designed for children aged 4 and up. It is a way to involve the whole family and pass on a love for comedic theater to the new generations.

With over twenty-five editions behind it, Naturns lacht! has become a true cultural brand for the region, supported by the Municipality of Naturno and the local Tourist Board.
