Naturalmente a Cuccaro is one of the most beloved events in the village of Cuccaro, a hilly hamlet within the municipality of Lu e Cuccaro Monferrato, in the province of Alessandria, in the heart of the Piedmontese Lower Monferrato. Born from the collaboration between the Pro Loco Cuccarese and local volunteers, the event combines three core themes over a spring weekend: connection with nature, social commitment, and the rediscovery of local gastronomy.

A scenic walk for a good cause

The heart of the festival is the scenic charity walk for Emergency: a ten-kilometer route winding through the vineyards and hazelnut groves of the Monferrato hills, a landscape recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Open to everyone, with trails of varying lengths, the walk allows participants to discover breathtaking views of the Alessandria countryside while contributing to a charitable fundraiser.

Local flavors: farm-to-table lunch and Friciò festival

Food is the absolute star of the show. At noon, a farm-to-table lunch featuring local products is served in the Pro Loco courtyard. In the afternoon, the festivities continue with the Friciò festival, showcasing the traditional fried specialty of Cuccaro, accompanied by farinata and other local delicacies. Evenings are dedicated to conviviality, with dinners featuring Piedmontese classics like agnolotti and mixed boiled meats, accompanied by dance music.

Shows, games, and markets

Throughout the weekend, the streets of the historic center are filled with market stalls, street artists, circus performances, and roving musicians. There is no shortage of street games for all ages and entertainment for children, including face painting by volunteers. To wrap up the day, an aperitif with a DJ set transforms the square into a lively gathering spot for the entire community.
