Every winter, the Friulian capital transforms into Udine Città del Natale: for almost two months, from mid-November until Epiphany, the historic centre fills with lights, scents, and attractions. The Il Natale in Città program, promoted by the Municipality of Udine, blends tradition and spectacle, offering families an atmosphere that becomes more enchanting year by year.

The heart of ice: the Udine Ice Park

The absolute protagonist is the large ice skating rink of the Udine Ice Park, next to which stands the Christmas village with its characteristic wooden chalets: here you can taste typical specialities, seasonal sweets, and hot drinks, while children find dedicated spaces and activities. A bubble of festivity in the heart of the city, perfect for adults and children alike.

The show on the buildings

Among the most beloved experiences are the architectural projections that illuminate Udine's symbolic monuments: the scenic Piazza Libertà, the Loggia del Lionello, and the Castle become enormous screens displaying light shows and Christmas images, accompanied by illuminations throughout the centre.
