There is a moment in Udine when you know Christmas is truly around the corner: when the gates of Ideanatale open, the fair that since 1989 has transformed the pavilions of Campus Friuli into a large bazaar of creativity, scents, and gift ideas. Reaching its 37th edition in 2026, it is organized by Udine Esposizioni SpA (Udine Gorizia Fiere) and has become one of the most beloved events in the Friulian capital for those who want to start their Christmas shopping away from the frenzy of shopping malls.

What to find among the stands

Along the fair's aisles, an average of 180 exhibitors from Friuli Venezia Giulia and other Italian regions parade. The soul of the event is artistic craftsmanship: Christmas decorations, handmade objects, textiles, clothing and accessories, games, and toys. Ample space is also given to the local food and wine, with typical Friulian products perfect for creating gift baskets and tasty presents.
