The spring preview of the Narnia Festival arrives at Palazzo Petrignani
Narnia Festival Spring is the spring version of the famous Narnia Festival, the musical and artistic event conceived and directed by internationally renowned pianist Cristiana Pegoraro, with the artistic direction of Maestro Lorenzo Porzio. Originally conceived as a preview of the summer festival (now in its fifteenth edition and awarded nine Medals of the President of the Republic), the Spring event brings a series of concerts to the months of March, spread across Terni, Narni, and Amelia, in the heart of the province of Terni, in Umbria.
The Amelia event takes place at Palazzo Petrignani, one of the jewels of Amelia's historic center, an ancient Umbrian city surrounded by imposing polygonal walls. The Renaissance setting of the palace's frescoes hosts a grand piano concert, where the musical performance is accompanied by narration by Cristiana Pegoraro, who guides listeners through the pieces on the program.
Supported by the Carit Foundation, Narnia Festival Spring aims to enhance the artistic heritage of the Terni area through music, bringing high-level performers to churches, historic palaces, and cathedrals. Admission is free with mandatory reservation, a choice that makes culture accessible and aligns well with the identity of a distributed festival rooted in the territory of southern Umbria.
The Amelia stop of Narnia Festival Spring 2026 takes place on Saturday, March 28, at Palazzo Petrignani. The concert is part of the spring schedule of the event directed by Cristiana Pegoraro, which in 2026 touches Terni, Narni, and Amelia between March 25 and 31, in anticipation of the fifteenth summer edition of the Narnia Festival.
A broad piano journey is scheduled: Chopin's famous Fantasia-Improvviso, Beethoven's Variations, Debussy's Preludes, Ravel's Alborada del gracioso, and Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. The performance is accompanied by narration by Cristiana Pegoraro.
The entire 2026 program for Narnia Festival Spring: March 25, Terni Cathedral (Vivaldi's The Four Seasons), March 28, Amelia, March 29, Beata Lucia of Narni (swing clarinet with Giovanni Lanzini), March 31, Church of Sant'Alò in Terni ("The Passion of Christ").
Amelia can be reached by car from the E45 and the Orte-Terni highway; the nearest train station is Orte, on the Rome-Florence line, from which you can continue by bus or car. Palazzo Petrignani is located in the historic center.
Concerts at Narnia Festival Spring are free with mandatory reservation.
