About Symphonic Holidays

Symphonic Holidays is an international orchestral workshop that brings amateur musicians of advanced level to Orvieto for a week of rehearsals, study, and shared music. The sessions are held in the Expo Hall of the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo and culminate in a final concert at the Teatro Mancinelli. An experience that combines the pleasure of playing in an orchestra with the charm of staying in the historic center of one of Umbria's most beautiful art cities.

Playing in an orchestra in Orvieto

Symphonic Holidays is an international musical holiday designed for advanced amateur musicians who wish to experience playing in a symphony orchestra. Organized by DaCapo Travel, the program brings a group of instrumentalists from different countries to Orvieto (Province of Terni) for a week of intensive rehearsals and shared musical growth.

Rehearsals and final concert

The rehearsals are held in the Expo Hall of the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, in the heart of the historic center, and the journey culminates in a final concert at the Teatro Mancinelli, the city's historic 19th-century theatre. The repertoire ranges from great symphonic composers, under the guidance of an orchestra conductor and with the participation of soloists.

Music and hospitality in the village

The experience is not just musical: participants stay in apartments in the historic center of Orvieto and share meals in local restaurants, immersed in the daily life of the village. It is a formula that combines a passion for music with the pleasure of discovering Umbria from the inside, living for a few days as city residents.
